Simonsig

TrailFun Summer Series 1 of 4

Let's start into a running year

Simonsig is the perfect entry level run. It has a few up and down sections, but they are easy to navigate. If you are looking to scale up to a longer distance, this is the perfect route. We have made some small adjustments to the route to make sure it is spot on for the 5 km and a little longer for the 10 km.

Coffee and breakfasts on sale before and after the run.

Presenting Sponsor: Pura Hydration

We are considering partnering with PURA and providing runners with their exceptional Hydration drink.

Look – we know you are fussy when it comes to what you put in your body, that is why we chose PURA.

PURA HYDRATION is see-through, it looks like water. Why ? Because they don’t add artificial colours to brighten it up, in fact, they don’t add any colour at all. This is a pure product with only natural ingredients. Even the electrolytes come from Mediterranean marine salt, not a barrel of chemicals. We like it – we think you will too. At 86 calories per 500ml it is perfect.

General Information

Simonsig

Simonsig Wine Estate is synonymous with the history of the South African wine industry, the Stellenbosch wine region, and the Malan family name.

These elements are intertwined in this family-owned farm, where the late Frans Malan produced the first bottle of our much-loved Kaapse Vonkel, South Africaʼs first Méthode Cap Classique made in the classic bottle-fermented style. He is also honoured for co-founding the thriving Stellenbosch Wine Route, a first in its time.

Today, his legacy lives on through his sons, Francois and Johan, and grandchildren Francois-Jacques, Christelle and Michael, the 2nd and 3rd Malan generations at Simonsig Wine Estate.
