Kaapzicht Wine Estate

TrailFun Winter Series 2 of 4

New Farm, New Routes, New Views, New Wines.

It’s everything you love about TrailFun. You get to run safely in Nature – fill your emotional tank and ready yourself for life – all in a Saturday morning.

This is great for beginners. The 5km is Easy – it is relatively flat, and the uphill sections are not steep. There are some uphill sections, all are marked for Run/Walk to make it easy for you to conquor this route.

The 10km route is challenging. The route is designed in a butterfly shape so you have some easy climbs in the beginning and a harder one from 7km. Don’t worry, we have split it up by adding some level sections to make it easier. This route may be next door to Mooiplaas, but zig-zag’ing up the hill makes it much, much easier.

Kaapzicht Wine Estate

Kaapzicht is a 4th generation family farm – owned and run by the Steytler family who has farmed here since 1946.

Wine is our passion, our livelihood and our life. We enjoy living in harmony not only within our own family, but also with our surrounding: our farm community, the multiple cultures around us and also with nature.

The name Kaapzicht means Cape View and stems from the wonderful view over Table Mountain. The farm is part of the Bottelary Road in the Stellenbosch district. Mild climate, cool sea breezes and old, weathered granite soils allow us to produce top quality wines.
