Kaapzicht Wine Estate

Winter Series 2 of 4

You will love it

This is a fantastic entry level run. There is a hill in the beginning (Don’t worry, you zig-zag up it) and the last 3.5 km is all downhill. It’s a fast 5 km if you are a strong runner.

The 10km route leaves the 5km runners at the mini aid station and explores the far side of the farm. There are a number of duiker and you are sure to spot one or seven.

You will love your Aid Station. Containers will have Spring Water (from Cape Aqua) one plain, one with lemon and mint – you need to have a water bottle or soft cup.

There will also be fruit portions and jelly sweets and Salted Potatoes.

Coffee and breakfasts on sale before and after the run. There is a free wine tasting for all runners (over 18) – Prize giving and big lucky draw at 9.30 am

Relaxed Run

If you are looking for a fun, relaxed day running or walking through a wine farm then this is for you. Choose your own Start Time, anytime from 07.00 am to 09.30 am. No groups, no crowds, just you and nature … and you can sleep in late.

The Race

If you enjoy the buzz of people around you, want to make podium and win prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd then the race is for you.

Kaapzicht Wine Estate

Kaapzicht is a 4th generation family farm – owned and run by the Steytler family who has farmed here since 1946.

Wine is our passion, our livelihood and our life. We enjoy living in harmony not only within our own family, but also with our surrounding: our farm community, the multiple cultures around us and also with nature.

The name Kaapzicht means Cape View and stems from the wonderful view over Table Mountain. The farm is part of the Bottelary Road in the Stellenbosch district. Mild climate, cool sea breezes and old, weathered granite soils allow us to produce top quality wines.
